The Commission Process
To begin your commission, I’ll ask you to send me a selection of reference photographs of your pet. The more photos you can provide, the better! I understand that, like many pet owners, you’ve likely taken hundreds of pictures of your furry friend. When choosing the best images, I recommend selecting ones that clearly capture your pet’s character and any distinctive features. High-quality, clear photos are essential, as they allow me to truly capture the essence of your pet in the final piece.
If your commission involves multiple animals, there’s no need to include them all in one photo—I’m happy to merge images to create the best composition.
Next, we’ll discuss potential background options for your piece. I’ll provide you with mock-up ideas to ensure we create something that is perfect for you and your pet. Once we’ve agreed on the size, image, and background, I’ll take a 20% deposit. Half of this deposit is refundable up until I officially begin working on your commission.
Upon completion of your artwork, I’ll send you images of the piece for your approval. If any adjustments are needed, I’ll make the necessary changes. At this point, I’ll request the remaining balance of the fee.
Framing and Postage
I highly recommend framing your artwork before shipping to ensure it is fully protected from any potential damage or smudging during transit.
Framing options range from basic frames starting at £20 to custom, bespoke frames tailored to suit your home décor. I can help guide you through the options based on your preferences and budget.
Postage costs depend on the destination, with typical shipping fees ranging from £10 to £25. For UK deliveries, I usually use Royal Mail, while for international shipping, I opt for other trusted couriers. I’ll provide you with an accurate postage estimate during our consultation.
