The Process
I will ask you to send me some reference photographs for your commission. Where possible, the more the better. Finding a good reference photo is very important. You will, if you are anything like me, have taken hundreds of photos of your pet. Try to pick one that you love, that shows character and any distinguishing features. The pictures needs to be clear. This will allow me to really understand your pet and see clearly any characteristics to include. If the commission is for multiple animals, the reference pictures do not have to include all the animals in one picture - I am able to merge images to get the best outcome.
We will then discuss a background for your commission and I will send you some mock up ideas to ensure the final piece is perfect in every way.
We will then agree a size, image and background and I will take a 20% deposit. Half of the deposit is refundable up until I officially start your commission. Once completed, I will send images through to you to ensure you are happy with the final result, or if you require alterations to be made. At this stage I will ask for the remainder of the fee.
Framing and Postage
I always suggest to have your drawing framed before posting. It fully protects the drawing in transit from damage or smudging.
Depending on budget/preference, basic frames can start from as little as £20.00, or you can have bespoke frames make to suit your home décor.
I charge a flat fee of £10 for UK postage via Tracked Royal Mail. Postage outside of the UK would be quoted on location, size and courier needed.
